WELCOME TO The Carleton Villa

Well after being on the market for over 12 years this notable home has a new owner.  Abandon for over 90 years we plan to restore the home and give it new life.

This amazing 15,000 sqft villa was built in 1895 for William O. Wyckoff a marketer of Remington Typewriters and the architect was the famed William H. Miller.  We encourage you to read an article by Alec Johnson as well as go The Story on our site to learn more about the history.  Along with starting the process of restoration we hope to grow this website as place to learn the history, a platform for pictures and a way to keep up-to-date with what is going on with this wonderful restoration project.

Currently the best places for updates is on Carleton Villa's Facebook and Instagram

Newly Updated Site Plan as of 1/25/2024

Highlights of the Plan

How Can you Help
Staff Meeting

As you can imagine every aspect of the restoration of this home needs help.  I'm currently seeking building contractors, architects, engineers, restoration specialists, tradesmen, electricians, plumbers, woodworkers, skilled craftsman, fundraising experts, locals with boats & barges and things we can't even think of yet.  If you have a particular specialty or trade that you think would be beneficial then please reach out to us, so we can discuss. Please go to the Contact Us page and fill out the form.

Immediate Need a welder & carpenter to repair sections of floating dock we purchased. Volunteers would be Awesome, but reach out either way.

Cape Vincent & Surrounding Towns

We have met some amazing people in this area and look forward to meeting so many more.  We are of course excited about this project and it is wonderful to hear the excitement from others in the community.  Our hope is that the restoration of this home allows more visitors to experience all that this area has to offer.
